Abu Musa wanted to visit the prophet in Madinah. But he found him at the well in contemplation exposing his blessed legs and dangling them into the well. Abu Musa stood at the door. He allowed Abu Bakr in then Umar after asking permission from the prophet. He told them glad tidings of entering paradise. They both joined the prophet, exposed their feet and dangled them like the prophet. Then Uthman came, Abu Musa asked the prophet if he can come in. The prophet gave him permission to enter and gave him the glad tidings of entering paradise after severe trials. All 4 sat on the edge. Abu Bakr and Umar near the prophet, and Uthman across from them رضي الله عنهم. Years later, the Caliph Uthman visited the well and sat on the edge. In deep contemplation, and moving around the ring. The ring fell. Uthman رضي الله عنه looked for it for three days. But Allah decreed that the prophetic ring will disappear and not fall into the hands of Uthman's killers. Allah knows best.

The well of Arees (ring) is located near Quba mosque. Known as the well of the ring. The prophet ﷺ used to wear this ring. The ring moved to Abu Bakr, then Umar then Uthman رضي الله عنهم . While Sayiddina Uthman had the ring, it fell into the well. Sayiddina Uthman looked for the ring for three days but Allah willed other wise. This well is 35 meters from the western wall of Quba mosque.

Throughout the ages, this well was marked and known by the locals and visitors. However, unfortunately , currently it is covered and neglected.
