Aqaba (Pledge) Mosque

This small roofless mosque with three Mihrab. The stones are from Ash-Shemaisi area (which was the location the Hudayibiiah treaty). First building was in the year 144 A.H. Renovation by the Abbassid in year 625 A.H. With the recent expansion of the Jumarat, it was under threat of demolition. However, ‏الحمد لله رب العالمين the local people convinced the government to keep this cradle of Islam. This where our beloved prophet ﷺ met the Ansar with his uncle Al-Abbass. It is called the Mosque of Aqaba or the Mosque of the Pledge. This is where it all started.
